I’m delighted to share my latest podcast interview with Mariko Sakai, a women’s empowerment, self-worth, and sexuality coach. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Mariko through earlier podcast episodes (Episode 247) and through our local community — and she is as intelligent as she is gorgeous, inside and out.
Mariko coaches what she calls "Sovereign Feminine women" to become magnets for men who admire and support them. She also works with men who seek authentic partnership with self-directed, powerful women — helping both sides of that dynamic show up fully in ethical non-monogamy and beyond.
The conversation covers themes I find myself returning to again and again with clients:
One of the things I’ve observed in nearly 10,000 coaching hours is that so many people in the ENM and polyamory community have done the external work — read the books, joined the groups, had the conversations — but haven’t yet addressed the internal conditioning that shapes how they relate. Mariko works in that exact space.
Her approach is particularly relevant for women who feel chronically drained in their relationships, who find themselves giving far more than they receive, or who have internalized a belief that their desires come second. That’s not a polyamory problem. It’s a human problem. And it shows up everywhere.
You can find Mariko on Facebook and Instagram.
This is Episode 287 of the Loving Without Boundaries podcast. If you find value in conversations like this one, please consider rating and reviewing the podcast — it helps more people find their way to these ideas.
