Stop saying you're doing "solo polyamory" when what you ACTUALLY mean is you date independently from your partner(s) - which is what most polyamorous people are doing anyway!

Solo polyamory is a specific term to describe a style of polyamory where you prioritise your independence while forming multiple intimate relationships in ways that don't involve traditional markers of relationship escalator commitment (e.g. living with a partner, marriage, coparenting). The more you know!

To put it another way: if you have a spouse and kids who you share a family home with and you're going on a date separate from your spouse, you're not solo poly, you're just doing regular polyamory lol. This is what solo polyamory actually means - don't get confused!

Addendum - Yes, I appreciate there is nuance in that not every solo polyamorous can afford to live alone or separate from a partner due to various factors - I'm not talking about y'all. I'm talking about people who are literally just dating separately from their partner and calling it solo polyamory, because that's not what it means.
