Beautiful people, I have to share something with you.

A few weeks ago, Authority Magazine featured me in a piece called “Five Things You Need To Create a Highly Successful Career As a Life or Business Coach.” And I’ll be honest — every time one of these features goes live, there’s a little voice that says “who am I to be talking about this?” And then I remember: I’ve lived this. Every word of it.

I quit my job as a Creative Director because I couldn’t not build this practice. I’ve logged over 8,400 coaching hours with more than 390 clients over the last decade-plus. I’ve helped people move from rock bottom — cheating, shame, jealousy that felt unbearable — to marriages that are stronger than they’ve ever been. And I’ve done it all while living authentically in the ENM space myself for over two decades.

In the piece, I talk about the five things that actually matter if you want to build a coaching career that lasts: finding a mentor instead of figuring it out alone, adapting to how fast this industry is changing without losing your why, remembering that it was never about you in the first place, and living what you teach — not just studying it.

I also got to talk about the mistakes I made along the way, what I call a “Wow experience” for clients, and why building real community matters more than any funnel ever will.

My dear friend and colleague David Thunder is quoted right alongside me in this piece, and getting to be in it with him made it even more meaningful.
