Celebrating Two Years of This Substack with a New Opportunity to Gather in Community

Dominic Chambers, Roslyn

I recently saw this image of kids in an open meadow… each of them holding a brightly colored kite, enjoying the same wide field, laughing, and playing.

That’s how this Substack has come to feel to me: a shared landscape where we’re each following our own threads of curiosity, healing our younger parts, and re-learning what spacious and expansive relationships look like for us.

Almost two years ago, on February 7, 2024, I published my very first post on Substack.

At the time, I didn’t know exactly what this space would become. I just knew I wanted to create the kind of community I was craving for myself, and to share honestly about non-monogamy, nervous system healing, conscious relating, and the messy, disorienting, expansive, joyful lived experience of unlearning old scripts about love.

Two years later, this little corner of the internet has grown into something I’m deeply proud of with:

  • 100+ deep-dive essays on non-monogamy, somatic healing, attachment, communication, and real relational stories from my own journey

  • Weekly articles every single Tuesday ranging from Q&A responses from readers like you, pattern breakdowns, and tools I use with coaching clients around the world

  • Readers in 48 U.S. states and 61 countries (!)

  • Repeatedly featured on Substack’s Bestseller List and Rising in Culture Top 100 — appearing in spots 39, 49, 66, 88, and 97

Celebrating Two Years of This Substack with a New Opportunity to Gather in Community

More than anything, this has become a place where people come to feel less alone in non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships that can often feel isolating, tender, and confusing.

I see this most clearly whenever I host live workshops. Every single time, people light up in the breakout rooms — meeting others who are navigating similar questions, feeling seen and validated in the shared big feelings, and almost always asking for more time together.

In my most recent workshop, I experimented with something new: an open-ended Zoom “afterparty,” where people could stay and connect for as long as they wanted. I heard afterward from several participants that it was deeply meaningful and even cathartic to simply be together with others who understood the terrain.

And honestly? Almost all of us need more support, more community, and more culture-building around non-monogamy.

A Gentle Deepening & Evolution of This Space

As this community continues to grow, I want it to feel less like a weekly publication and more like a living ecosystem of people practicing expansive ways of relating in real time.

I’m gently adjusting the rhythm of this space to be less about broadcasting ideas and more about tending a living community practicing liberated love — while also making the care and maintenance of this space more sustainable for me. This is still a one-woman labor of love.

Going forward, I’ll be sharing one free public essay each month (instead of two), and devoting more of my writing energy to those of you who are actively living this work and wanting deeper, slower, more relational support — with three essays each month for paid readers, including practices and reflection prompts.

Paid subscriptions begin at $8/month (just a little more than the price of a single fancy latte), for those who want ongoing depth and integration.

If you’re a free subscriber, you’ll still have access to around 50 free essays and resources in the archives (which you can explore at ariadiana.substack.com), and you’re warmly welcome to stay connected in whatever way feels right for you.

Alongside the writing, paid subscribers will also be invited into more conversation between essays — through subscriber-only chat threads (more details, below) and live, online connection spaces to be in community with others on their own non-monogamous journeys.

🥳 You’re Invited: Our First Community Connection Party on Zoom

To celebrate our 2-year Substack anniversary, I’m hosting a cozy, lightly facilitated online gathering for paid subscribers.

This is my way of saying thank you — and of creating a space where the words on the page can turn into real human connection.

During our time together, you’ll have space to:

  • Join me live on Zoom from anywhere in the world

  • Experience a short grounding somatic practice

  • Connect with other relationship explorers in small breakout groups

  • Share what’s alive for you — without pressure to perform or have it all figured out

Think of it as a cozy living room for your inner world: a place to be seen, reflect, and remember you’re not doing this alone.

🗓️ Event Details

Tuesday, February 10th
5:30 - 6:30 PM PT / 8:30 - 9:30 PM ET
Live on Zoom (this session will not be recorded)

We’ll have two rounds of rotating breakout groups (3–4 people each), guided by gentle prompts to support meaningful, caring conversation.

Expect a meditation moment plus real talk, tender truths, and the kind of resonance that comes from being with others who understand the terrain.

You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right. There’s no expectation to tell your whole story — kindness, curiosity and presence is enough.

If this online gathering feels nourishing and supportive, I may make these kinds of events a more regular part of this community.

💌 How to Join the Online Event

Not Yet a Paid Subscriber?

You’re welcome to upgrade to a paid subscription (choose from monthly or yearly access) which unlocks:

  • 🌀 Join our Community Connection Party on Zoom - February 10th

  • 💬 Participate in a new weekly paid subscriber chat (more on that below)

  • ✍️ The ability to send me questions—I often turn reader questions into full essays

  • 📚 My full archive of 100+ in-depth essays

  • 📖 New weekly articles, reflection prompts & somatic practices every Tuesday

🥳 Introducing Weekly Paid Subscriber Chat

Alongside the writing, I’m also going to be more actively tending a subscriber-only chat space.

This isn’t a comments section — it’s a place for ongoing reflection, resonance, and belonging.

Starting next week, I’ll post a gentle reflection prompt connected to the essays, themes I’m seeing in sessions, or questions coming in from readers. You’re invited to:

  • Share your experience

  • Respond to others

  • Or simply read along quietly (lurking is participating!)

It’s a low-pressure way to integrate the work and stay connected to a shared relational ecosystem unlearning mono-normativity and growing capacity for intentional, creative relationships.

How to Get Started with Chat

  1. Download the Substack app by clicking this link (or access via the web)

  2. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens (chat threads don’t come via email).

  3. Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see our space there.

That’s it. Come say hi when you’re ready.

(And if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ)

Thank you for being part of this space — for reading, reflecting, and walking this path with such care.

I can’t wait to gather with you live and see where Year Two takes us.

With gratitude,
Aria
