Stop Polyvangelising.

I am begging the polyvangelists to realise that polyamory is not the answer to all relationship issues, nor would the world be a better place if everyone was polyamorous. Mononormativity is the issue, not monogamy.

I firmly believe there's nothing wrong with monogamy in principle. But enforcing monogamy as the only valid and available relationship option is something I've been rallying against ever since I started my education work on this page.

Polyvangelists are people who evangelise about polyamory being the ‘One True Way’ - and I am against this idea. I believe in the right and freedom to choose what works for you, and I also encourage exploring your options. I don't think there is a universal relationship style that works for everyone. To me, any arguments people may have about biology or evolutionary psychology are sort of immaterial when you face the fact that people are heavily influenced by their culture and upbringing. Their life choices cannot be entirely defined by their nature.
